Salesforce Release Update 2.0: Task Automation & Trading Updates
As part of our continued commitment to improving advisor workflows and operational efficiency, GVA will be rolling out several Salesforce enhancements on Friday, December 12, 2025. These updates focus on streamlining investment and general task processes, improving system automation, and enhancing trade notification accuracy. Below is an overview of the upcoming changes and how they may impact your day-to-day workflows. We encourage all teams to review these updates to ensure a smooth transition and continued alignment with best practices.
- Investment Task Updates
- GVA Asset Management Trade Cut off
- When creating an investment task on a GVA Asset Management Financial Account record after 2pm EST you will receive a pop-up notification. This pop-up is to remind you that “Trade request submitted after 2pm EST will be completed the following business day. If this is an urgent request, please contact the Trading Team at trading@greatvalleyadvisors.com.” You can then select “Acknowledged” and create your investment task.

- Account Number Field
- The account number field will automatically populate onto the task record when the financial account is linked through the “Related To” field. If you create the task on the financial account record itself the “Related To” field automatically populates as it did previously.
- System-Managed Fields (Auto-Updated)
- When the financial account is linked via “Related To” the field in the “System-Managed Fields (Auto-Updated)” will automatically update. Even if you put any information in here the system will override it.

- Trade Email Functionality
- Trade email notifications will work for all teams. This email pulls from the Rep ID record that the financial account is related to. If you would like your team’s trading email or a specific team member’s email address added to the Rep ID record, please email Salesforce@greatvalleyadvisors.com so that we can get this set up for your team.
- If the account is GVA Asset Management, then the trading team will receive an email notification.
- Trade Email Functionality

- If the account is not GVA Asset Management, then the trading email associated with the Rep ID record will be who is emailed. If there is no email associated with the Rep ID record, then no one will be notified. Please refer to bullet point one in this section for how to request an update on the email associated with your Rep IDs.
- General Task Update
- Status = Ready to Invest
- Utilize General Tasks for internal team tasks such as account openings or check receipt. Once the account funds, make sure that the financial account is linked through the Related To field then on your general task select “Ready to Invest” and hit save. The system will then ask you if you want to notify the investment team. Select “Yes” and Salesforce automatically creates the investment task for you. You are then able to edit the task add trading instructions such as the model, transaction amount, due date, and any additional comments. When you select “Save” the system will then save the new investment task and notify the trading team associated with this account.

- Both Investment & General Task Update
- Recurring Task Functionality
- On both the general and investment task record types you are able to create a recurring task. Select “Create Recurring Series of Tasks” and fill in the frequency and dates for when this task begins, ends, and when it should recur. We will be discussing with the Asset Management team periodic distributions and contributions to be submitted here
