Salesforce Release Update 2.4: “Households & Individuals” Data Clean Up, Field & List View Updates
After direct feedback from our network, we have streamlined and standardized the “Households & Individuals” experience in Salesforce. This update, deployed on February 13, 2026, improves list view organization, enhances client categorization, and allows for cleaner, more flexible reporting across your book of business.

We have reduced and refined the available options to 15 key list views that allow users to quickly access and organize their data.
The updated list views are:
- All Clients – A & B Rated
- All Clients – Age & Birthday
- All Clients – Professional Relationships
- All Clients – Prospects
- All Clients – Ratings (A+, A, B, C, D)
- All Households
- All Households A & B Rated
- All Households & Individuals
- All Records – Missing Last Review Date
- Fact Finder – Online
- GVA Vendors
- Meetings in the Next 30 Days
- Recently Viewed Households & Individuals
- Risk Questionnaire – Completed
- Recently Viewed
These list views were selected based on usage trends and advisor feedback to ensure the most meaningful views are front and center.

Record Type Update: Professional Relationship
The “Professional Relationship” record type has been removed.
All records previously using this record type have been migrated to Business Household.
How This Should Now Be Used
For example:
- Law Group A → Business Household
- Sally Smith → Individual (Type = Professional Relationship)
This structure allows you to:
- Link employees to the Business Household
- Associate them with the appropriate GVA Household(s)
- Maintain clean reporting relationships
This change improves data consistency while preserving relationship visibility.
New Field: Category
To further standardize reporting, we have introduced a new Category field.
Previously, distinctions such as Client (Advisory) were stored under the field “Type”. Those classifications have now been migrated into a structured picklist called Category.
Category Options:
- Brokerage
- Tax
- Business
- Insurance
- Plan Only
- Employed
- Professional Relationship
- Advisory and Tax
- Dormant
- Brokerage and Tax
Default Category = Advisory
This update allows users to run cleaner, more flexible reports across client segments.
Updated Individual “Type” Picklist Options
The Type field for Individual records now includes:
- Client
- Prospect (Client)
- Prospect
- Deceased
- Former
- Professional Relationship
- POA (Power of Attorney)
- COI
- Solicitor
All historical data has been fully migrated and standardized.
Why This Matters
All data is cleaned and up to date as of February 13, 2026.
With these updates, users can now:
- Run more accurate category-based reporting
- Filter client segments more effectively
- Navigate list views faster
- Maintain clearer Business and Professional relationships
- Reduce duplicate or inconsistent classifications
As always, this release reflects direct advisor feedback. We appreciate your continued input as we refine and improve the GVA Salesforce environment.
